Q: How short is the parade, really?

A: The parade route is only 89 feet long, making it the shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade in the world!

Q: How long does the parade last?

A: With the opening ceremonies, mid-parade performances, and entertainment, the parade could run about 60 minutes.

Q: What is the purpose of the parade?

A: The parade is a fundraiser for the food banks in our neighboring communities of Little Compton and Tiverton R.I. and Westport and Fall River, M.A.

Q: How can I support the event?

A: You can support the event by purchasing tickets for the after parade festivities, which include food and music.
You can also make a donation to the Little Compton, Tiverton, Westport or Fall River Food Banks, or becoming a sponsor or making a donation.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to make donations on site so don’t forget to bring cash to donate to our Leprechaun’s Pots of Gold.

Q: Who can participate in the parade?

A: Anyone is welcome to apply to march in the parade.
You must fill out a parade application and be approved by the parade committee.
Please apply by March 14th, but the earlier the better for planning purposes.

Q: What is the cost to participate in the parade?

A: Participation in the parade is free. There is also no cost to watch the parade.

Q: Where is the parade held?

A: The parade is held on Main St. in Downtown Adamsville, Rhode Island. In front of the former Stone Bridge Dishes.

Q: What should I wear to the parade?

A: We encourage everyone to wear green to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and dress warm!

Q: Can I bring my pet to the parade?

A: Yes, pets are welcome! Just make sure to keep them on a leash and pick up after them.

Q: Is the parade suitable for families?

A: Absolutely! The parade is a fun and safe event for the whole family to enjoy.

Q: Will there be public bathrooms?

A: Yes, several Port-a-Johns available to the public will be located on the Village Green premises.

Q: Where should I park?

A: Please carpool! We have arranged for two shuttles to run from the parade route to the First Baptist Church on 65 Crandall Road.
The shuttles are in a constant loop going from the Church to the Parade location every ten (10) minutes from 2:00PM-4:45PM.

Q: What time does the parade route on Main Street in Adamsville close?

A: The Little Compton Police Department will close the parade route on Main Street in Adamsville from 12:00PM until the parade ends.

Q: Will there be food?

A: Yes! After the parade there will be the post-parade fundraiser.
A traditional Irish Corn Beef and Cabbage meal, including potatoes and carrots, will be sold.
Complimentary Irish soda bread and dessert will be provided.
Meal tickets are expected to sell out quickly online.

Q: Will there be music?

A: Yes! After the parade there will be the post-parade fundraiser. Only ticketed attendees will be admitted. Limited tickets are available and expected to sell out quickly.
