RULES & PARADE APPLICATION

If you plan to participate in the parade, please fill out the form on this page, read the 2024 rules and sign. We’re excited for you to be part of the “World’s Shortest St. Paddy’s Day Parade”!

  1. The primary contact for each entry must sign the parade application and be responsible for the conduct of all participants.

  2. Parade entry registration must be in writing and submitted by 5 pm on March 1, 2024.

  3. Political campaigning is strictly prohibited during the parade.

  4. All Performing Groups not on a float must be preceded by a banner, carried by at least two people, announcing the name of the group.

  5. Each entry should be entertaining, energetic, original, and unusual.

  6. All float entries must be approved by the parade committee based on a photo or rough drawing submitted with the parade application.

  7. The use prior to and/or possession during the parade of any alcoholic beverage, by any unit/entry member, is strictly forbidden. If a Parade Committee Member observes behavior that may be related to alcohol consumption that affected unit will be disqualified from participation in the parade.

  8. Participants riding in vehicles or trailers must provide their own vehicles and drivers.  Insurance and liability are the sole responsibility of participants.

  9. Parade participants are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous and safe manner.

  10. These rules are subject to change on short notice.  Advance notice will be given appropriately.  Failure to comply with the parade rules will result in unit members or entire unit (entry) removal from the parade (even if in progress) and/or future participation banning. Failure to follow the 2023 rules may cause exclusion from participation in all future parades.  

  11. Please remember this is a family-friendly event for all ages.

  12. The parade will start at 3 pm on March 17, 2023. All registered marchers must arrive ONE HOUR hour early to line up.
